CalCPA and AICPA Public Comments following the August 21, 2025 CARB Climate Disclosure Workshop

On behalf of the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), we appreciate the opportunity to provide comments to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) related to the Public Comment Docket following the August 21, 2025 Climate Disclosure Workshop.

Please see the attached letter, which includes comments related to the California Corporate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting program implementation. This letter has also been submitted via the comment portal on CARB’s website.

Thank you for considering our comments. The CPA profession remains committed to working with CARB, policymakers, businesses and other stakeholders to ensure climate disclosure information is reliable, consistent, and useful for decision-makers. As CARB reviews stakeholder feedback and develops implementation plans, including draft regulations, we welcome the opportunity to discuss our points further.
