This is a public health crisis that demands a swift and powerful response. We need strong action by California that delivers immediate pollution reductions, because our children cannot wait for clean air.

California has always led the way in adopting measures that reduce harmful pollution and protect the health of Californians. Now, with federal protections in jeopardy, your leadership is more vital than ever.

This means moving forward with rigorous pollution standards that reduce climate and health harming pollution from cars and trucks and advancing other measures, like consumer rebates and infrastructure investments that make clean cars more affordable and accessible for all Californians.

I strongly support California’s efforts to put in place standards and additional measures to reduce this harmful pollution, support affordable clean transportation solutions, and grow jobs. We are counting on you to act boldly and without delay to advance the policies that protect our health and secure a safer climate for generations to come. Thank you.
