Like many humans who like to breathe safely, I urge CARB to protect California's leadership in clean vehicle standards. CARB must oppose the Trump regime's rollback of protections of health, the economy, and the environment by preserving and implementing strong state-level incentives for EVs, accelerated commitments to clean vehicles, expanded charging infrastructure in front-line communities, and new policies that hold polluters accountable. Example: Just imagine the improvements in public health if drayage at our harbors could be converted to electric trucks. Clean vehicle standards influence national policy and promote equity, as well as create jobs in clean transportation industries. Please recommend bold strategies that represent our priorities and goals to Governor Newsom so he can fight sabotage of our environment and economy by the federal government.
