Foothill Honey Farms Case Settles for $375
In February 2014, Foothill Honey Farms paid $375.00 for violating air quality regulations: $281.00 was paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $94.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Foothill Honey Farms failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Truck & Bus Regulation. To settle the case, Foothill Honey Farms agreed to the $375.00 penalty and to comply with the Truck & Bus, and other ARB programs.
