Dowa Line America Co., Ltd. Case Settles for $7,500

Dowa Line America Co. Ltd. paid $7,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on April 27, 2015. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Dowa Line America Co. Ltd. vessel Century Bright failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters in 2015. Dowa Line America Co. Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Dowa Line America Co. Ltd. agreed to the $7,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
