Diana Shipping Services S.A. Case Settles for $14,500

Diana Shipping Services S.A. paid $14,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on July 21, 2014. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Diana Shipping Services S.A. vessel Oceanis, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters twice in 2013, and once in March of 2014. Diana Shipping Services S.A. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Diana Shipping Services S.A. agreed to the $14,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
