$2,000 in Fines Paid by DAS Distributors, Inc.

DAS Distributors, Inc. was identified as the supplier of non-complying 2.5-gallon and 5-gallon Briggs & Stratton Gas Containers to retail outlets including several truck stop locations between January 2004 and December 2005. The gas containers did not meet all of the Performance Standards for Spill-Proof Systems specified in Title 17, California Code of Regulations, Section 2467.2 et seq. As a result of the investigation, DAS Distributors, Inc. settled this case for $2,000 on March 6, 2006.
