Dart Container Corporation Case Settles for $19,500
An investigation by the ARB showed that Dart Container Corporation (DART) failed to verify that each hired or dispatched vehicle was in compliance with the Truck and Bus Regulation at the time of hire and that DART failed to comply with the record keeping requirements of the regulation. DART has agreed in principal with the violations. A fully executed settlement agreement was signed on 8/22/16. A penalty of $14,625.00 will be paid to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, and $4,875.00 to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for the School Bus Diesel Emission Reduction SEP.
To settle the case, DART has agreed to the $19,500.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
