$5,000 in Fines Paid by CSK Auto, Inc.

In October, 2006 and May, 2007, Enforcement staff obtained samples of a 5-gallon diesel portable fuel container and a 5-gallon kerosene portable fuel container from partsamerica.com (a company used by both CSK Auto, Inc. and Advance Stores Company to process online orders). Both portable fuel containers purchased were not compliant with California's Portable Fuel Containers and Spouts Regulations. On July 30, 2007, CSK finalized the settlement agreement and made a payment of $5,000. CSK Auto, Inc. operates "Kragen Auto Parts" stores in California.
