Circle of Friends Office Conference - $5,000 Settlement

On April 9, 2003, we held an Office Conference with representatives of Circle of Friends to discuss and to settle a Report of Violation. Circle of Friends is a beauty parlor equipment and supply wholesaler specializing in shampoos, conditioners and hairspray. Circle of Friends is alleged to have offered approximately 2,558 containers of non-compliant hairspray for sale in California. Circle of Friends agreed to in principle settle this case for $5,000. A portion of the settlement will be contributed to the Environmental Enforcement and Training Grant Program.
