Chipolbrok Shipping Company Case Settles for $53,000

Chipolbrok Shipping Company has paid $53,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on June 25, 2011. An investigation by the ARB showed that Chipolbrok Shipping Company vessel, Chipolbrok Weiniawski, failed to properly complete switchover for its Main Engines from Heavy Fuel Oil over to Low-Sulfur Distillate Fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters. To settle the case, Chipolbrok Shipping Company agreed to the $53,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
