Central Valley Auto Transport Inc. agreed to pay $4,000 in penalties; $3,000 to the California Air Pollution Fund and $1,000 to Peralta Community College District, for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Central Valley Auto Transport Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards.
