Existing Policy Benefit Assessment
The Existing Policy Benefit Assessment quantifies the benefits of existing air quality policies and programs in reducing emissions within the community. This is performed to ensure targets, goals and strategies developed within the Community Emission Reduction Plan are surplus to regional policies already implemented within the community.
CARB staff will develop 5-year and 10-year projected emission inventories for all communities. CARB staff will work with District staff during the emissions forecasting effort to ensure appropriate growth and control profiles are applied to individual sources within each community.
