Cal-Sierra Pipe, LLC Case Settles for $375
In September 2014, Cal-Sierra Pipe, based in Stockton, agreed to pay $375.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $281.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $94.00 will go to Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Cal-Sierra Pipe failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Statewide Truck and Bus (STR) Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the STB Regulation. To settle the case, Cal-Sierra Pipe agreed to the $375.00 penalty and to comply with the STB and other ARB programs.
