BuyAutoParts, Inc. Case Settles for $31,762

BuyAutoParts, Inc. (BuyAuto) is a distributor of aftermarket parts. BuyAuto sold, offered for sale, and/or advertised, in California, aftermarket critical emission control parts.  These parts modified or altered the original design or performance of the motor vehicle pollution control device or system. Upon receiving a cease and desist letter from the Air Resources Board (ARB) BuyAuto immediately halted all performance parts sales and transactions in California. BuyAuto fully cooperated with ARB during the entire process. 

The case was settled in April 2016 with BuyAuto agreeing to pay $31,762 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund.
