Beauty System Group Case Settles for $3,000

On February 24, 2010, a case was settled with Beauty Systems Group for selling and/or supplying non-compliant Hair Spray and Hair Mousse in California from February 2004 through December 2005.  These products exceeded the 55 percent by weight VOC limit set under Consumer Products Regulation for the Hair Spray category and the 6 percent by weight VOC limit for Hair Mouse specified in Title 17, CCR, Section 94509(a).  Beauty Systems Group paid $3,000 to settle this case.
