Barry D. Rodieck Case Settles for $9,000
In January 2014, Barry D. Rodieck paid $9,000.00 for violating air quality regulations: $6,750.00 was paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $2,250.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Barry D. Rodieck failed to meet PM BACT requirements for 1996 through 1999 engine model years by January 1, 2012; and also failed to meet PM BACT requirements for 2000 through 2004 engine model years by January 1, 2013. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck & Bus Regulation. To settle the case, Barry D. Rodieck agreed to the $9,000.00 penalty and to comply with the Truck & Bus and other ARB programs.
