Arrow Transit Mix, Inc. Case Settles for $141,600
Arrow Transit Mix, Inc. will pay $141,600.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $106,200.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $35,400.00 will go to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in October, 2016.
An investigation conducted by the Air Resources Board (ARB) determined that Arrow Transit Mix, Inc. failed to bring sixteen (16) of their heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, Arrow Transit Mix, Inc. agreed to the $141,600.00 penalty and to comply with TB, ECL, PSIP and other ARB programs.
