Alliance Rental Solutions, Inc. Case Settles for $3,750
Alliance Rental Solutions, Inc. paid $3,750.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $2,813.00 went to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $937.00 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in April, 2015.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Alliance Rental Solutions, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Alliance Rental Solutions, Inc. agreed to the $3,750.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP and other ARB programs.
