Aervoe Industries Inc. Settles For $13,800

In January 2020, the California Air Resources Board and Aervoe Industries Incorporated of Gardnerville, Nevada, reached a settlement agreement in the amount of $13,800.  Aervoe Industries Incorporated sold, supplied, offered for sale and/or manufactured an Electronic Cleaner product for use in California containing concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations (17CCR), section 94509(a).  The VOC violation resulted in .54 tons of excess VOC emissions.  In addition to the excess VOC violation, labeling of the product did not include the product category and applicable VOC standard as required for Electronic Cleaners.  To come into compliance, Aervoe Industries Incorporated updated product labeling, developed new business practices to ensure future compliance, and modified the product to meet the regulatory requirements for commerce in California.
