On January 14, 2008, staff mutually settled an enforcement case for $3,000 with 4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers. 4 Wheel Parts retail stores were offering for sale non-compliant Blitz USA Brand, 2+ Self-Venting gas cans and 5-gallon Self-Venting diesel cans from their stores in Temecula and San Marcos, California. All portable fuel containers offered for sale in California must meet the performance standards and administrative requirements promulgated in the Portable Fuel Containers and Spouts Regulation.
