Community Air Protection Program Overview

Provides an overview of the Community Air Protection Program, including background information on community air quality, how we control air pollution, and the basics of Assembly Bill 617.

Community Air Protection Blueprint Overview

Provides an overview of the Community Air Protection Blueprint, the document governing implementation of the Community Air Protection Program.

Community Steering Committees

Discusses membership, structure, and role of community steering committees, the key group providing community direction on community emissions reduction programs and community air monitoring under AB 617.

Community Emissions Reduction Programs Module 1 – Overview

Provides an overview of the process for developing community emissions reduction programs – local action plans to improve community air quality.

Community Emissions Reduction Programs Module 2 – Technical foundation

Reviews the purpose and building blocks of the technical foundation that supports a community emissions reduction program, including community-scale emissions inventories and other air quality analyses.

Community Emissions Reduction Programs Module 3 – Goals, targets, and strategies

Discusses the purpose of establishing goals and targets, and talks about the process for identifying strategies and an implementation schedule.

Community Emissions Reduction Programs Module 4 – Enforcement plan

Covers the purpose and components of the enforcement plan, a key part of a community emissions reduction program.

Community Emissions Reduction Programs Module 5 – Metrics and tracking progress

Discusses what types of metrics a community emissions reduction program should include and how tracking progress will take place to ensure these local action plans are successful.
