Environmental Justice
CARB is committed to prioritizing environmental justice in all of its work. We work directly with communities to share clear information about local air quality and to support efforts that improve the air people breathe.
A clean and healthy environment is a basic right for everyone in California. CARB’s focus on racial equity and environmental justice guides programs that reduce pollution exposure and improve quality of life in communities facing environmental and economic challenges. Together, these efforts help create healthier, more resilient communities across the state.
Community Air Grants Spotlight
The CLEAN Air Project is a collaborative initiative through the partnerships with Aura Planning and The Community Resource Project (CRP), dedicated to reducing air pollution impacts and building healthier communities. Its mission is to improve indoor air quality, strengthen public health, and create pathways to clean energy careers. CARB invites you to explore their resources and get involved!
