Val-Pro, Inc Case Settles for $27,000
Val-Pro, Inc. will pay $27,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $27,000.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in October, 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Val-Pro, Inc. failed to bring 3 of their on-road diesel fueled vehicles into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards and failed to bring 18 of their Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation and the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure. To settle the case, Val-Pro, Inc. agreed to the $27,000.00 penalty and to comply with TB, TRU and, other ARB programs.
