Sport Hill Trucking Case Settles for $2,000
Sport Hill Trucking will pay $2,000.00 for violating air quality regulations: $2,000.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California’s air quality. This settlement was reached in July 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Sport Hill Trucking failed to bring two of their on-road heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the PM BACT requirements of the Model Year Compliance Schedule. ARB documented violations of the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, Sport Hill Trucking agreed to: (1) demonstrate proof of non-operational status for one heavy duty diesel truck by August 15, 2017, (2) demonstrate proof of compliance with TB by October 15, 2017, (3) pay penalties of $2,000.00 by July 24, 2017, and (4) to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
