At a public meeting to be held on October 26, 2023, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will consider the approval of the 2023 Sacramento Regional Plan for the 2015 70-ppb 8-Hour Ozone Standard (2023 Plan). The 2023 Plan was prepared by the five local air districts (Districts) of the Sacramento Metro Non-attainment Area (Sacramento Metro), with the support of CARB. The Districts adopted the 2023 Plan in their respective board hearings separately before the CARB Board Hearing date.
CARB submitted the 2023 Plan to the U.S. EPA on November 7, 2023 on behalf of the five local air districts in the Sacramento Metro area.
The five local air districts include Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (Sac Metro AQMD), El Dorado County Air Quality Management District (El Dorado County AQMD), Feather River Air Quality Management District (Feather River AQMD), Placer County Air Pollution Control District (Placer County APCD), and Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District (Yolo-Solano AQMD).
