Working for the California Air Resources Board (CARB) is a rewarding career, however, applying for positions with the State of California can be challenging. Positions within CARB’s Enforcement Division consist mainly of scientists, engineers, and technicians. Air Resources Technicians are entry level positions within CARB. Air Pollution Specialists are scientific classifications open to college graduates with a qualifying Bachelor of Science degree, and Air Resources Engineers must possess an engineering bachelor’s degree.
