J&J Bross Trucking LLC Case Settles for $19,800
J&J Bross Trucking LLC will pay $19,800.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $19,800.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in January, 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) found that J&J Bross Trucking LLC failed to bring two of their heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the Truck and Bus regulation by the dates set forth within the regulation, failed to ensure that one engine had legible emission control label affixed to the engine, and failed to perform annual opacity tests for eight vehicles for the years 2014 and 2015. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus Regulation, the Emission Control Label requirements of the Heavy-Duty Vehicle Emissions Control System Inspections regulation, and the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program regulation. To settle the case, J&J Bross Trucking LLC agreed to the $19,800.00 penalty and to comply with ARB diesel engine regulations and programs.
