Inview Travel, Inc. Case Settles for $6,750
Inview Travel, Inc. will pay $6,750.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $5,064.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,686.00 will go to the School Bus Retrofit Project to retrofit school buses throughout California with diesel emission control strategies. This settlement was reached in April 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Inview Travel, Inc.: (1) failed to properly self-inspect their diesel buses to ensure the buses met state smoke emission standards, and (2) failed to comply with the Particulate Matter Best Available Control Technology requirements. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program and Truck and Bus Regulation. To settle the case, Inview Travel, Inc. agreed to the $6,750.00 penalty and to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program, Truck and Bus Regulation, and other applicable ARB regulations.
