Herreras Trucking Case Settles for $1,000
Herreras Trucking will pay $1,000 for violating air quality regulations: $1,000 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California’s air quality. This settlement was reached in June 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Herreras Trucking failed to bring one of their on-road heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the PM BACT requirements of the Model Year Compliance Schedule. ARB documented violations of the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, Herreras Trucking agreed to: (1) demonstrate proof of compliance with TB by August 15, 2017, (2) pay penalties of $1,000 by June 8, 2017, and (3) to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
