Greger Pacific Marine, Inc. Settles For $12,789
In August 2024, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement with Greger Pacific Marine, Inc. (GPM), with its principal location in Oakley, California, for the company’s violation of the Airborne Toxic Control Measure for Commercial Harborcraft (CHC Regulation), as codified in the California Code of Regulations, title 17, section 93118.5.
CARB staff’s investigation discovered that GPM failed to properly report fleet inventory, engine compliance information, and maintain functioning hour meters as required by the CHC Regulation (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 17, § 93118.5). To settle the case, GPM agreed to the average penalty of $4,263 per CHC violation for a total settlement amount of $12,789.
GPM cooperated with CARB’s investigation. The total settlement amount will be deposited into CARB’s Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality.
