Walmart, Incorporated Case Settles for $8,500

In March 2019, Walmart, Incorporated (Bentonville, Arkansas) sold, supplied, and/or offered for sale non-compliant General Purpose Cleaner products in California which contained concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceeded the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations section 94509(a).  This product was sold into California and resulted in 0.44 tons of excess VOC emissions attributable to the violation.  To come into compliance, Walmart, Incorporated immediately removed the product from the California market place and has stopped selling this product.
