At the workshop, staff discussed proposed amendments to the air cleaner regulation that are intended to strengthen and streamline its implementation and make it easier for manufacturers to achieve and maintain compliance. Proposed amendments include changes to the types of air cleaning devices that are subject to the regulation and modifications to the current list of industrial exemptions. This public meeting was an opportunity to hear from stakeholders about these proposed changes or other changes they would like CARB to consider.
