$2,000 in Fines Paid by Ralph's (Kroger)

Staff discovered that from September 2005 to December 2005, Ralph's sold one-gallon Blitz Brand Gas Containers (Model No. 50805) which did not meet the performance standards for Spill-Proof Systems. Due to an internal error during distribution, the noncompliant containers were offered for sale at some Ralph's stores in Southern California. After rectifying this problem, Ralph's settled this case for $2,000 on April 7, 2006.
