California Air Resources Board

To meet California's health based air quality standards and greenhouse gas emission reduction goals, the cars, buses, and trucks we drive and the fuel we use must be transformed away from petroleum. CARB has a suite of complementary incentive, regulatory and supporting programs that are enabling the transition to zero-emission technology in the light-, medium-, and heavy-duty sectors. Senate Bill 498 (Statutes of 2017) requires CARB to review all these programs and submit a report to the Legislature.
