Hitchcock Farms, INC. Settles For $8,000.00

In August 2019, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) settled a case for $8,000 with Hitchcock Farms, Inc. (Hitchcock), located in Salinas, California.  CARB documented violations by Hitchcock for failure to verify that each hired or dispatched vehicle was in compliance with the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation and to comply with the record keeping requirements, under California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2025 (13 CCR § 2025(x)(2)).  Hitchcock entered into a settlement agreement with CARB and agreed to pay a total penalty amount of $8,000 for their violations.  In addition, Hitchcock agreed to not operate or direct the operation of any vehicle subject to the TB Regulation without obtaining documentation demonstrating each vehicle hired or dispatched complies with the TB Regulation prior to hire.  Hitchcock was cooperative with submitting documentation during the course of the audit and agreed to become compliant with California’s air quality regulations.
