The negative commentary against hydrogen production serves to contribute to the destruction of the industry in the following ways:

1. Fear mongering. Hydrogen production involves toxic by products destructive to the environment.
2. The proliferation of Electric vehicles is proof that Hydrogen is not popular and should not be funded.
3. The high cost of hydrogen fuel discourages buyers from leasing or purchasing Hydrogen vehicles.
4. The slow down in construction of hydrogen stations has increased the anxiety of users who always seem to have problems finding working fueling stations.
5. A major hydrogen car maker has recently threatened to discontinue the production of their brand of vehicle in California.
6. Consumer Reports has discontinued review of Hydrogen vehicles in their annual car reports.
7. Hydrogen is volatile, difficult to store and transport safely, and presents a health risk to the community when used to increase production of methane.

The positive commentary for hydrogen production and Hydrogen vehicles is as follows:

1. The success of engineers and designers in producing a safe and reliable fuel cell vehicle is indisputable.
2. There are no major incidents of fuel cell failures in the current Hydrogen vehicles now on the road.
3. There have been no leaks detected in the Kevlar wrapped fuel tanks, even though every vehicle receives regular leak checks at every maintenance period.
4. Fuel cell vehicles are better constructed than either gas or electric vehicles and therefore more reliable.(i.e. fewer mechanical breakdowns. Smoother rides).
5. Hydrogen vehicles accelerate well but are not designed to drag race or reach excessive highway speeds. Fuel cell drivers in general receive less speeding violations than Tesla drivers.
6. Design and maintenance of fueling stations has improved over the years. They have received severe criticism for cost increases in fuel, but never for lack of safety measures for the protection of users or station owners. Hydrogen fuel stations are safe.
7. Hydrogen provides a reliable alternative fuel source for drivers of gas and electric powered cars and present zero emissions and zero drain on the electric grid.
