Chano’s Trucking Case Settles for $13,000
Chano’s Trucking will pay $13,000.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $13,000.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in August, 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Chano’s Trucking failed to bring 3 of their on-road diesel fueled vehicles into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards and failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation and the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). To settle the case, Chano’s Trucking agreed to the $13,000.00 penalty and to comply with the TB, PSIP and, other ARB programs.
