AMS Paving Inc. Case Settles for $101,100
AMS Paving Inc. will pay $101,100.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $101,100.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in June, 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that AMS Paving failed to bring 10 of their trucks into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards, failed to properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards and to ensure that all applicable vehicles have legible emission control labels. ARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP), the Truck and Bus (TB) and Emission Control Label (ECL) Regulation. To settle the case, AMS Paving agreed to the $101,100.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP, TB, ECL and other ARB programs.
