California Air Resources Board

The Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), created by Assembly Bill 118 (chapter 750, Statutes of 2007), is a voluntary incentive program administered by the Air Resources Board (ARB) to reduce smog and diesel particulate pollution with concurrent reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.  AQIP provides $30 to 40 million per year (depending on revenues) through 2015 for clean vehicle and equipment projects.  Health and Safety Code (HSC) Section 44274(d) requires ARB to report biennially to the Legislature on implementation of AQIP, and HSC Section 44274.7(f) requires ARB to report annually on the implementation of its truck loan program. This report fulfills both requirements.
