99-10-1 | Public Meeting to Consider the Approval of California's On-Road Motor Vehicle
Emissions Inventory Staff is suggesting a modification to the estimate of emissions from on-road motor vehicles using a new model called EMFAC2000. The inventory will increase typically by a factor of 2 (depending on pollutant) in the South Coast in the year 2000. Impacts of the Use of Ethanol in California Reformulated Gasoline Executive Order D-5-99 called for the removal of methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) from California Reformulated Gasoline and the analysis of the environmental fate and transport of ethanol as a substitute oxygenate. The Air Resources Board staff conducted an analysis of the air quality impacts of ethanol as well as gasoline without any oxygenate. The Board will consider a staff report describing the staff's analysis and results. The final report is to be submitted to the Environmental Policy Council by December 31, 1999 |
