00-6-1 | Public Hearing to Consider Adoption of Proposed Amendments to
the Regulation for Reducing Volatile Organic Compound Emissions from Aerosol Coating Products and Proposed Tables
of Maximum Incremental Reactivity (MIR) Values, and Adoption of Proposed Amendments to Method 310, "Determination
of Volatile Organic Compounds in Consumer Products" Staff is proposing amendments to the Aerosol Coatings Regulation that would replace the January 1, 2002, volatile organic compound (VOC) content limits with equivalent reactivity-based VOC limits. To implement and enforce the proposed amendments, staff is also proposing to: 1) add a new subchapter to the California Code of Regulations that would contain the maximum incremental reactivity (MIR) values, and 2) amend ARB Method 310. |
00-6-2 | Public Meeting to Present Information to the Board on Federal Regional
Haze Requirements Staff will provide an update to the Board on the status of the federal regional haze regulation and the activities of the Western Regional Air Partnership (WRAP), an organization of states, tribes, and federal agencies coordinating the implementation of the regional haze regulations in the West. The update will include a discussion about the WRAP's potential development of a regional sulfur dioxide trading market to meet regulatory requirements for visibility. |
00-6-3 | Public Meeting to Consider Approval of a Suggested Control Measure for Emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds
from the Application of Architectural Coatings Staff is proposing to update the Suggested Control Measure for Architectural Coatings to assist the local air districts in adopting architectural coatings rules. The staff has also developed a Program Environmental Impact Report for Board consideration. |
00-6-4 | Public Meeting to Consider Research Proposals: Proposal Number 2453-214 entitled "Studies of the Atmospheric Chemistry of Volatile Organic Compounds and of their Atmospheric Reaction Products," submitted by the University of California, Riverside, for a total amount not to exceed $299,987. Proposal Number 2451-214 entitled "Economic Value of Hospitalizations Associated with Particulate and Ozone Air Pollution," submitted by San Diego State University Foundation, for a total amount not to exceed $284,230. |

public to address the Board on items of interest that are within the Board's jurisdiction, but that do not specifically
appear on the agenda. Each person will be allowed a maximum of five minutes to ensure that everyone has a chance
to speak.
