In 2017, CARB staff published results from a study that measured ozone emissions from 17 consumer products and home appliances. This study found that one or more products in the three categories listed below (home laundry treatment devices, fruit and vegetable washers, and facial steamers) produced ozone at levels that may result in potential adverse health effects. 

The following is a partial list of consumer products and home appliances in the three categories mentioned above that are advertised as ozone-emitting products. CARB is not aware of the levels of ozone emitted by these specific products. Instead, inclusion on this list is based on information available online at the time of review, such as product name and product description about ozone emitting functions, and/or test results for the products that we tested.
