Project Summary

CARB will hold this seminar for a research study that used mobile phone data to estimate Californian’s shifts in travel behavior and vehicle usage during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using Location-Based Service (LBS) data derived from mobile phones, the research team introduced an algorithm to explore changes in vehicle miles traveled statewide, categorized by trip purpose and origin.
